great show as always!!!! just my two cents on the preparation for the swim vs the bike and run. I agree on your thoughts regarding allocating more time on the run or bike rather than the swim… assuming that the swim is “good enough.” Its totally true that the time (precious hours) spent to cut a few minutes on the swim vs those hours on the bike or the run will result possible in hours saved in the the bike/run. But, if the swim is not however in a place where the time is good enough, it just might sabotage the entire event. If the swim takes so much energy out of the individual, where the bike and then the run is affected, then it might be wise to allocate more time on the swim to get that point where it at a “good enough” place. This happened to me when I did the HITS full in Napa. I figured my swim was good enough (which it wasn’t) where I cramped up which then and sabotaged my bike, and thus made the run super miserable. Greg PS.. There was an article about only working out three minutes a day at HIT intensity and would like if you would comment on it especially for new athletes. thanks… http://www.shape.com/fitness/workouts/interval-training-short-workouts-really-pay
