When training at the levels we train at currently there usually is a cause for some supplementation, even if it is just a multi-vitamin. The problem arises, though, when trying to find good supplements that provide the necessary ingredients you need, but that also provide it in a medium that is free from the things we try to stay away from, namely sugar, wheat, gluten of any kind.
KleanAthlete gave me the opportunity to try their product and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products they sent me, but also how they worked. I have never been one to really NOTICE a supplement when I take it, but after a few days of the multivitamin I did notice an energy level that I had been lacking. I had also started a new eating lifestyle to try to get my health and weight under control for the triathlon season, and these multivitamins fit right into the plan, i.e. no added fillers, sugars, or wheat products. I especially liked the coating they use, which allowed for easy swallowing and a pleasant taste. They ingredients are fruit and plant based which suits a great number of lifestyles, but what is especially nice about the product is that you FEEL it when you take them. Something off the shelf brands like Centrum lacks.
The additional product they sent me to try was the Endurance tablets. While this product is designed to help with energy levels, it does contain some fruit based sugars (1.67 grams) but at that level I did not feel it affected my lifestyle negatively. Unlike other like products, it also tastes great and is easy to stomach, with no “chalky” or thick after taste like some other product lines. And, like the MV, it works. I felt it when I was using it, and that is testimonial it of itself.
I would definitely recommend the multivitamin to readers and teammates. Other endurance and supplements are on an as needed basis, but I would have no reservations recommending Klean Athlete as a source for these items, just based on the two I have tried. I would be interested in sampling other products myself, especially the electrolytes line. I have no doubt I would be as happy with them as I was with the two I tried.
